Obchody Tygodnia Ziem Odzyskanych i Tygodni Ziem Zachodnich z lat 1946–1948 w świetle ogólnopolskiej prasy komunistycznej

Praca przedstawia, jak w świetle ogólnopolskiej prasy komunistycznej wyglądały obchody Tygodnia Ziem Odzyskanych oraz Tygodni Ziem Zachodnich w latach 1946–1948. Wydarzenia Tygodni odbywały się w okresie Polski Ludowej, na skalę całego kraju, w latach 1946–1970 (z przerwą na lata 1949–1957). Autor przedstawia skromny stan badań, który do tej pory powstał na ten temat. Następnie opisuje genezę Tygodni oraz ich przebieg w latach 1946–1948. Na podstawie głównych tytułów prasowych Polski Ludowej, analizie zostaje poddany wymiar propagandowy wydarzeń. Na zakończenie autor dochodzi do wniosku, że Tydzień Ziem Odzyskanych i Tygodnie Ziem Zachodnich były dla władzy ludowej jednymi z najbardziej eksponowanych wydarzeń, które miały w społeczeństwie umacniać świadomość przynależności tzw. Ziem Odzyskanych oraz rewizji granic Polski po 1945 r.The work presents the process of the celebration the Week of the ‘Recovered Lands’ and the Weeks of the ‘Western Lands’ between 1946–1948. The main historical source of it are Polish communist press. The events connected to these Weeks took place, on the scale of the entire country, between 1946–1970 with a break between 1949–1957. The author present a modes state of research which has so far been created on this subject. After that he describes the genesis of the Weeks and their course between 1946–1948. Mostly analyzed is the propaganda dimension of these events. It is done on the basis of the main press titles edited in the People’s Poland. Next, the author concludes that the Week of Recovered Lands and the Weeks of the Western Lands were one of the most exposed events for the main Polish communist which were supposed to strengthen the awareness of belonging Polish ‘Recovered Lands’ and a revision of Polish borders after 1945

The study brings up sensitive problems of the contemporary Polish history, revealing some mechanisms of historical discourse in the public space. Refl ection on the historical memory, the war trauma and the problem of shortened perspective puts emphasis on the absence of alternative narrations around such categories as: nation, Catholic Church, patriotism, the left, polish Jews. Ziemie zachodnie i północne w Polsce Ludowej

"Termin „Ziemie Zachodnie i Północne” (ZZiP) został wprowadzony do (jak dziś powiedzielibyśmy) polityki historycznej polskich władz po 1945 roku, a w ślad za tym — do polskiej publicystyki i historiografii1. Użyto go na opisanie obszarów włączonych do Polski Ludowej2, położonych na zachód i północ od granic państwa polskiego z roku 1939. Mimo że pozornie sytuacja przejmowania terytorium z rąk niemieckich wydawała się prosta, ostatecznie całkowitą kontrolę nad ZZiP polskie władze uzyskały dopiero we wrześniu 1947 roku, gdy Rosjanie oddali Polakom port szczeciński. W marcu 1945 roku ZZiP podzielone zostały na cztery okręgi: I (Śląsk Opolski), II (Dolny Śląsk), III (Pomorze Zachodnie) oraz IV (Prusy Wschodnie).

The article is based on the narrative of Ryszard Bitowt whose lifetime experience is determined by forced displacement from his homeland after II World War. The aim of the article is to provide anthropological description of individual struggle for integrity of personal identity in the situation of severe trauma. The author focuses on those activities and narrative strategies of his interlocutor which are designed to reach out and reclaim the land and the life lost in the new historical situation

Przemieszczona tożsamość : kino PRL wobec problemu Ziem Zachodnich

W artykule został podjęty problem „tożsamości przemieszczonej” rozumianej jako odgórny - narodowy i społeczny - projekt dla przestrzeni pojałtańskich. Chociaż jego celem była homogenizacja narodowa oraz integracja w nowych granicach geograficznych i ustrojowych, faktycznie wywołał on kryzys przynależności i identyfikacji dziedziczony przez kolejne pokolenia powojennych mieszkańców nowych terenów. Przedmiotem badań autorki są polskie filmy fabularne z lat 1956-1970, stanowiące reprezentację tytułowego zagadnienia, których udział w recepcji „Ziem Odzyskanych” był znaczący. Twórcy tych filmów podejmowali temat migracji, osadnictwa i zagospodarowywania nowych obszarów, przez co zasadniczo wpływali na kształt zbiorowej wyobraźni. Analizie poszczególnych utworów towarzyszą pytania o to, w jaki sposób kino uczestniczyło w procesach konstrukcji monoetniczności, a także na ile wyrażało racje polityczne oraz ukazywało życie codzienne, problemy adaptacyjne i konflikty społeczne. Celem podjętych badań jest uzupełnienie dotychczasowej wiedzy z zakresu historii kina polskiego okresu PRL oraz jego kontekstów politycznych i społeczno-kulturowych związanych z tematyką Ziem Zachodnich

Collective actions for reconfiguration of urban space Biały Bór, Poland

[EN] Biały Bór is located in the former German territories that came to Poland after the Second World War. The almost complete replacement of the indigenous German and Jewish populations, initially by Polish and soon Ukrainian communities, was the result of the displacement of state borders by the eviction and relocation of millions of people. To do this, the authorities used certain strategies, which brought different approaches and constraints to local communities and urban spaces. The article considers the differences between the declared principles and the actual actions of the authorities in the context of “small stories” of all actors (national communities), as well as the tactics of indirect resistance of the local community to government pressure. Due to the remoteness of the place from the state center and due to its unanimity, the local community becomes the driving force of the spatial development of the city. And since the city is multicultural, the development of public spaces is influenced by the competitiveness (not confrontation) of two local communities. Therefore, the creation of public spaces is considered in the context of the rights of different groups to the city. This paper argues the conditions under which it is the collective actions of local communities that determine the change in the configuration of urban space.Ilchenko, S. (2021).
